Who handles information

FanWar is operated by the legal entity identified before launch in Australia. Contact the configured privacy contact before launch for privacy questions or rights requests.

Information FanWar processes

• User-entered public display names, social platforms, public handles or profile URLs, optional categories, and profile reports.
• Public profile information used for display and avatar enrichment, including cached public profile images when available.
• Checkout amount and status, Stripe identifiers, timestamps, and limited payment metadata. FanWar does not receive or store complete card numbers.
• Technical, referral, pseudonymous analytics, and abuse-prevention data, including rate-limit signals and protected report fingerprints.

No social login or account

FanWar does not ask for social passwords, OAuth access, login credentials, or proof that a submitter owns an identity. It does not create a FanWar user account or current-user profile. Every listed identity creates a user-submitted public leaderboard record, not a user account.

How information is used

Information is used to resolve canonical public identities, deduplicate profiles, display ranks and supporter activity, create and reconcile Stripe checkout attempts, apply refunds and disputes, moderate reports, secure the service, meet record-keeping obligations, and measure product performance.

Public information and service providers

Profile identity, display name, public link, avatar, Boost Points, Rank, category, and eligible boost activity are public by design. A listing does not prove ownership, affiliation, or endorsement. Stripe and hosting, database, public-data enrichment, storage, monitoring, and analytics providers process information as needed to supply their services.

FanWar does not publish payer email, billing address, complete card details, or private country metadata.

Analytics

When configured, PostHog and DataFast process pseudonymous website analytics. Autocapture and session recording are disabled. Analytics does not decide who receives purchased Boost Points; verified Stripe webhooks and the FanWar ledger do.

Retention and security

Financial ledger and transaction records may be retained for accounting, dispute, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. Profile, moderation, and security records are retained only as reasonably needed. FanWar uses access controls and hosted Stripe Checkout, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Reports, correction, removal, and rights

Public profiles can be reported for impersonation, incorrect identity details, privacy concerns, or other moderation reasons. Depending on location, a person may also request access, correction, or deletion, or object to certain processing. Public identity data can be hidden or removed while immutable transaction records are retained where required. Contact the configured operator to make a rights request.

International processing and updates

FanWar is global and service providers may process information in multiple countries. This notice may change as the product, providers, and legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
